An incensed trader
who operates at Capital Shoppers, Nakasero cut up his wife and a man he
found in his house over suspicion of cheating on him.
Sadat Ssekabira, who sells women's apparel on Wednesday found a man, Sammy Sitakange, with his wife Olivia Nakkazi in his rented house in Makindye - Nabisaalu.
Sadat is said to have been suspecting his wife (right) of cheating on him. On the fateful day, he told his wife he was going to Dubai on a business trip.
This however turned out to be a trick. He returned after a few hours and found Sitakange lounging in his house as they chatted heartily with Nakkazi.
Sadat is reported to have picked a bottle and started swinging it at the pair while accusing the wife of being a prostitute. As fate would have it, the bottle broke arming him with a proper weapon.
Charging like a wounded animal, he swung the broken bottle at Sitakange and slashed him in the face. During the scuffle his wife sustained cuts on the hand.
The pair was only rescued when Nakkazi's repeated cries for help attracted curious neighbours who in turn called police.
However by the time the Police arrived at the scene Sadat had already fled.
The pair was whisked to Katwe police from where they were advised to seek medical treatment first.
On her part, Nakkazi refuted claims of cheating on her husband. She claimed he was the one who called Sitakange on phone and when he got home he locked the house and started charging at them.
