Uganda To Host Under-19 Division 1 Cricket Qualifiers

Uganda has been selected to host the Under 19 Division One Cricket World Cup qualifiers that will take place from May 25 to June 1 in Kampala.
Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) Chief Executive Officer Justine Ligyalingi says the tournament was initially slated to be hosted by Kenya. The event will attract hosts Uganda, Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone. It will be played at the Lugogo, Kyambogo and Entebbe Cricket Ovals.
Ligyalingi said the teams will all reside at Hotel Africana.
Uganda has appeared at two ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cups, 2004 in Bangladesh and 2006 in Sri Lanka.
Team Uganda is currently undergoing training under coaches Davis Turinawe and John
Trust Mayeku. The Team will be managed by Martin Ondeko who also featured in the side that appeared at the 2004 Under 19 World Cup in Bangladesh as a player.
