The Champions of the 2012/2013 German Bundesliga Bayern Munich will next year face the Cranes during their tour of Uganda.
The National Council of Sports (NCS), Chairman, John Bosco Onyik told
Redpepper Online on Friday evening that the Germans will visit on
September 4 under the Oliver Kahn Foundation.
Onyik explained that Kahn, the former German first goalkeeper, has
entered a partnership with NCS to have the Football made in Uganda
programme and his intention is all about talent identification from
grassroots to Primary and Secondary schools.
Onyik said since Khan played for Bayen Munich for many years he has
confirmed the German champions will make the trip and play the game on
September 4. He revaled that the Kahn Foundation is also trying to make
sure World footballer Leone Messi makes the trip to try and raise the
profile of the Oliver Kahn Foundation.
When contacted the German Ambassador in Uganda Klaus Dieter Duxmann
also confirmed the development saying it will be a big game when Bayern
Munich travel to Uganda to play the national team here.
Top European clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham have
previously visited and played International friendly games against top
teams in South Africa.
