Barely a fortnight after being flushed out of a thicket in the Democratic Republic of Congo with rebels, the Member of Parliament for Bubulo West, Mr Tony Kipoi Nsubuga’s predicament has forced his electorate to swing into action with their resolution to recall him from parliament.

MP Kipoi, a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement, was allegedly arrested in Fataka area in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo two weeks ago  and the voters, who have embarked on collecting signatures to recall the legislator, describe him as a disgrace to the constituency and entire country.
Kipoi known for his flashy lifestyle has been linked to various criminal activities including robbery, treason and recruitment of youths into rebel activities over the past few months.
Jacob Mwenyi, a voter in Bubulo West says they are disappointed with their Mp who he says has become an embarrassment to the constituency. Mwenyi wants Kipoi recalled from parliament to pave way for the election of a person with a good moral standing to replace him. Mandu Perez Khatoto, another voter regrets voting for Kipoi.
