Chinese arrested at JKIA over ivory smuggling

A Chinese suspect attempting to smuggle 0.68 kilogrammes of ivory from Maputo to China was arrested at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Friday night.
The suspected ivory smuggler, Ou Kaiming, 32, will spend the weekend in police custody after he was arrested while boarding a Kenya Airways flight in Nairobi.
He is due to appear at the Makadara Law Court Monday morning.
The suspect is the third Chinese in as many weeks to face the full brunt of the new Wildlife Conservation and Management Law 2013.
