Police in Masaka are holding a man for allegedly sodomizing a seventeen-year-old

It is alleged that Sseruwu, 30, committed the offence at around 12:30pm in one of
the rooms at his work place after tying the victim with ropes. The victim told
police that he had known Sseruwu for several months as his customer at the victim's
chapatti joint at Katoffaali in Kimaanya B in Masaka Town and he had promised to
get him a better job.

He went on to disclose that the two agreed to meet on Monday this week at Sseruwu's
work place so that he could take the victim to the place where he had secured him

The victim was however surprised that when he arrives at Sseruwu's place he only led
him to a dark room where he tied him with ropes and sodomized him. He said he tried
to shout for help but nobody turned up.

The victim ran to the police after the incident which went for Sseruwu who has
totally denied committing the offence. Masaka District Police Commander, Henry
Kavuma, who has confirmed Sseruwu's arrest has said the victim has been taken for
medical examination and that Sseruwu will be taken to court to face various charges
including defilement.
