Rescuers pulled 20-year-old Huang Kuang-wei out alive after more than a day

The 17 storeys of the Weiguan Jinlong (Golden Dragon) apartment complex, home to at least 256 people, crumpled down on each other as the quake took hold just before 04:00 (20:00 GMT on Friday).
More than 200 people were rescued, but a baby, young girl and two adult men were among 12 in the complex who did not survive, officials said. Elsewhere in the city, at least two other victims were killed by falling debris.
Hundreds of soldiers have joined in the rescue effort, with the help of hi-tech equipment and rescue dogs, and shelters are due to be set up for those who have lost their homes in the city of two million people.
More than 24 hours after the earthquake, fire fighters, police, soldiers and volunteers were picking through the ruins, some using their hands.
A woman surnamed Chang said she was waiting to hear from her daughter, who lived on the fifth floor of the fallen apartment block.
"She's not answering my phone calls. I am trying to hold my emotions and stay strong. I'll do that until I find her," she said.
"I know they will find her, but I have also prepared for the worst," she added.
A man in his 60s, whose son escaped and whose daughter-in-law was in serious condition, was trying to help rescuers pinpoint his 11- and 12-year-old grandsons.
Interior Minister Chen Wei-jen said investigators would examine whether the building's construction met requirements.

Cairo restaurant firebomb attack kills 16.Brought to u by Prince Media Uganda,Ugandan based documentary comapny

Members of the Egyptian security stand guard in the restaurant that was attacked near Cairo, Egypt, 04 December 2015
Sixteen people have been killed in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, after firebombs were thrown into a restaurant, officials say.
The attack happened in the Agouza area, in the city centre.
Egypt's interior ministry said it appeared to have followed a row between workers and others at the venue, which also housed a nightclub.
Media reports say three masked men threw the devices into the venue before fleeing.
Reuters news agency said the restaurant was in the basement of the building, making it harder for people to escape.
Video from the scene showed thick, grey smoke billowing out of a doorway at street-level as passers-by tried to get close. Flames could be seen inside the entrance, as one man used a fire-extinguisher to try to tackle the blaze.
The victims died from burns or the effects of inhaling smoke, it said. At least five other people were injured.
Cairo has previously been rocked by a series of attacks on security forces and civilians carried out by suspected Islamist militants.
An Islamist insurgency intensified in the wake of the overthrow of President Mohammed Morsi in 2013.

Ex-girlfriend sues Charlie Sheen over HIV status. This news is powered by Prince Media Uganda,Ugandan based documentary company

A former girlfriend of Charlie Sheen on Thursday sued the actor for assault, negligence and emotional distress, saying they had sex at least five times before he revealed he was HIV-positive.
Scottine Ross, 26, who said she met Sheen while she was working as a porn actress and later became engaged to him, also claimed the actor forced her to have an abortion after she became pregnant in 2014, and had kicked and choked her on numerous occasions during their one-year relationship.
The lawsuit, filed in California Superior Court, is the first known legal action against Sheen since he revealed in a TV interview in November that he had been diagnosed HIV-positive four years ago.
The former star of TV comedy "Two and a Half Men," 50, said at the time he had decided to speak out because he had paid some $10 million to people for their silence.
Sheen, who is three times divorced and has dated many porn stars, also said it was "impossible" that he had transmitted the virus to anyone else. He said he "always led with condoms and honesty when it came to my condition."
His attorney, Martin Singer, said on Thursday that Sheen plans to "vigorously defend the lawsuit filed by Scottine Ross. We are confident that Mr. Sheen will prevail in this action."
PAID TO HAVE SEX
Ross' lawsuit said she first met Sheen in November 2013, when he paid $10,000 to have sex with her. The couple had sex at least five times before Ross discovered his medications for the treatment of HIV, she said. The couple later fell in love and had
unprotected sex "like a normal couple."
Ross alleged several violent outbursts during their relationship, including being kicked, punched, put in a chokehold and having an unloaded gun pointed at her.
She is seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
Sheen said in November that he had been blackmailed for years by people threatening to disclose his HIV status. He also appeared resigned to a stream of new lawsuits.
Under California's criminal statute, a person who knowingly exposes another to HIV through unprotected sex must be proved to have had a deliberate intent to infect them.
The law means that criminal prosecutions are rare but civil cases can be brought on a range of grounds, including alleged negligence, emotional distress or sexual battery.

Mutant mosquitoes 'resist malaria'.Drive Hot News

mosquito
US scientists say they have bred a genetically modified (GM) mosquito that can resist malaria infection.
If the lab technique works in the field, it could offer a new way of stopping the biting insects from spreading malaria to humans, they say.
The scientists put a new "resistance" gene into the mosquito's own DNA, using a gene editing method called Crispr.

n theory, if these mosquitoes bite people, they should not be able to pass on the parasite that causes malaria.
About 3.2bn people - almost half of the world's population - are at risk of malaria.
Bed nets, insecticides and repellents can help stop the insects biting and drugs can be given to anyone who catches the infection, but the disease still kills around 580,000 people a year.

'Pivotal role'

Scientists have been searching for new ways to fight malaria.
The University of California team believe their GM mosquito could play a pivotal role - breeding resistant offspring to replace endemic, malaria-carrying mosquitoes.
They took a type of mosquito found in India - Anopheles stephensi - on which to experiment.
Dr Anthony James and his team showed that they could give the insect new DNA code to make it a poor host for the malaria parasite.
The DNA, which codes for antibodies that combat the parasite, was inherited by almost 100% of the mosquito offspring and across three generations.
