The government is embarking on a comprehensive programme to
promote vocational training to ensure skills development and job
creation for the youth, President Museveni has said.
The President appealed to the youth to take
advantage of job opportunities in modern commercial agriculture, fruit
growing, poultry, piggery, apiary and dairy cattle, the entertainment
and performing arts sector, public service and ICT.
He was yesterday meeting youth from the Uganda
Youth Platform (UYP) led by their chairperson, Hillary Musoke, who
called on him at State House Entebbe.
