Tanga. Five people were injured, one seriously,
after a video show hall was hit by an explosion at Amboni area on the
outskirts of the city.
Tanga Regional Police Commander Fraser Kashai,
told journalists in his office yesterday that the incident occurred on
Thursday at 9pm while people were watching a movie.
The RPC said an unidentified person was seen
throwing an object that exploded with a loud bhang, leaving those inside
and nearby streets in shock. He said five people were hit by flying
objects and were left unconscious.
Mr Kashai identified the injured as Mr Hassan
Abdallah, 72, Mr Rashid Ally, 45, Mr Mrisho Abdi, 29, Juma Mtoo, 15, and
Mr Abdul Ismail, 19.
The regional police boss announced the arrest of
one resident of Amboni for questioning by the police in connection with
