Dr Stephen Kasiima, Police Director in charge Traffic and road safety

Police Director in charge Traffic and road safety Dr Stephen Kasiima is among the 300 officers promoted at helm of police’s century plus celebrations at Kololo.

The message of promotion came in on Thursday evening with officers promoted to various ranks ranging from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) , Assistant commissioner of police (ACP, Commissioner of Police (CP), Senior commissioner of Police (SCP), and Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).

Kasiima who barely made two years at the rank of Senior commissar of police , has been promoted to Assistant Inspector General of police, the second highest rank in police hierarchy.

In May 2012,the traffic boss was elevated to the rank of SCP. Other that have been promoted to AIGP include Joseph Mugisa  and Lemmy Twinomugisha.

Other senior promotions saw Henry Tukahirwa, Ahmend  Wafuba, William Kotokyo Christopher Obache, Charles Katarakambi and Charles Kyomukama elevated from Commissioners of Police to senior commissioners.
